Terms & Conditions for PilePrompt
Last updated: 2026-09-29
PilePrompt is operated by BoraDuo. By using PilePrompt (the "Service"), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
What PilePrompt is
PilePrompt is a free task/notes application. By default, everything you write stays only on your own device. If you turn on the optional sync feature and sign in with Google, your data is also stored on a server so it can follow you across your own devices — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what that involves.
Your content
Your projects, tasks, and notes are yours. We claim no ownership over anything you write, and we don't use your content to train any model or share it with anyone except as described in the Privacy Policy (e.g. a collaborator you've explicitly invited to a shared project).
You're responsible for what you write and for keeping your own backups — see "No warranty" below for why that matters.
Acceptable use
Don't use PilePrompt to store or share anything illegal, to abuse the sync service (e.g. attempting to access another account's data, or overloading the service on purpose), or to violate someone else's rights. We can suspend or terminate access to the sync service for an account that does.
Account and data deletion
You can stop using the Service at any time. You can delete your synced data yourself at any time from Settings → Account & Sync → Delete all my data. Deleting your account entirely (as opposed to just your data) isn't a separate concept here — using Delete all my data and signing out is the equivalent. See the Privacy Policy for exactly what that removes.
No warranty
PilePrompt is provided "as is," free of charge. There's no guarantee it will always be available, bug-free, or that your data will never be lost — please keep your own backups of anything important (the in-app "Download backup" button makes this easy). We'll do our best to keep the sync service running and your data safe, but we make no formal uptime or durability guarantee.
Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, BoraDuo is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, including lost data. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited (for example, statutory consumer rights that apply in your jurisdiction).
Changes to the Service or these terms
PilePrompt is actively developed and can change — features can be added, changed, or removed. We'll update the "Last updated" date above whenever these terms change, and show an in-app notice for material changes, same as the Privacy Policy.
Governing approach
These terms are offered in good faith and haven't been reviewed by a lawyer for any specific jurisdiction. If something here conflicts with a statutory right you have where you live, your statutory right controls.
